Edelsa Lazo, 89, of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eulogio Lazo, who passed in 2022.

Edelsa was a devoted sister to Noel Perez and his wife, Hilda, and a cherished friend to Amado and Annie Medina. She was a kind and compassionate soul, a beautiful person inside and out, whose warmth and love touched the lives of all who knew her.

Edelsa was an accomplished artist, professor, painter, and singer. Her creative talents brought joy to many, and her work will be remembered for its beauty and depth. As a member of the Iglesia Bautista Hispano Americana in Elizabeth, she was an integral part of the church community, where she found strength and connection with others. She had a deep love for children and always looked for ways to engage with and support the younger generation, imparting her wisdom and kindness.

Her life was one of service, artistry, and faith, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Edelsa’s memory will live on through the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the beauty she created.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, January 31st from 8:30am-11:30am in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth.

Funeral service will commence from the funeral home at 11:30am.

Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.

Edelsa Lazo, de 89 años, de Elizabeth, falleció en paz el 28 de Enero de 2025. Fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo, Eulogio Lazo, quien falleció en 2022.

Edelsa fue una hermana devota de Noel Pérez y su esposa Hilda, y una querida amiga de Amado y Annie Medina. Era un alma bondadosa y compasiva, una persona hermosa por dentro y por fuera, cuyo calor y amor tocaron las vidas de todos los que la conocieron.

Edelsa fue una artista, profesora, pintora y cantante consumada. Sus talentos creativos trajeron alegría a muchos, y su obra será recordada por su belleza y profundidad. Como miembro de la Iglesia Bautista Hispano Americana en Elizabeth, fue una parte integral de la comunidad de la iglesia, donde encontró fuerza y conexión con los demás. Tenía un profundo amor por los niños y siempre buscaba maneras de involucrarse con las generaciones más jóvenes, impartiendo su sabiduría y amabilidad.

Su vida fue una de servicio, arte y fe, y será profundamente extrañada por su familia, amigos y todos aquellos que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.

El recuerdo de Edelsa vivirá a través de las vidas que tocó, el amor que dio y la belleza que creó.

Familia y amigos están invitados a visitar el Viernes 31 de Enero, de 8:30 a.m. a 11:30 a.m. en Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth.

El servicio funeral comenzará desde la funeraria a las 11:30 a.m.

La sepultura será en el Cementerio Rosedale, Linden.
