Flor De Maria Mejia Lopez, 98 of Hillside passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2024. Born in San Jose De Ocoa, R.D. Dominican Republic she traveled throughout her life from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to New Jersey. Devoted mother of Leybis Alva Sanchez Mejia and Mey Luz Sanchez. Cherished and loving grandmother of 11, she is predeceased by her son Rafael Emilio Sanchez. Flor loved to give advice to anyone who would listen. She loved to have conversations about peace and life. She enjoyed traveling as well.

Family and friend are welcome to visit on Saturday, August 24th from 5-8pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 East Jersey Street, Elizabeth.

Catholic funeral service will commence at 7pm.

Interment will take place in Cementerio Cristo Redentor, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Su hijo Rafael Emilio Sánchez falleció antes que ella. A Flor le encantaba dar consejos a cualquiera que quisiera escucharlos. Le encantaba tener conversaciones sobre la paz y la vida. A ella también le gustaba viajar.

Familiares y amigos pueden visitarnos el sábado 24 de agosto de 5-8pm en Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 East Jersey Street, Elizabeth.

El funeral católico comenzará a las 7 p.m.

El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio Cristo Redentor, Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.
