George Eugene Hohman, 67, of Honesdale, PA, passed away at his home on April 1st, 2021. George was born in Elizabeth, NJ, to the late George R and Stasia Hohman. He was a graduate of Rahway High School, NJ, and received a degree in Sociology from Kean College. In 1972, George became a police officer and dedicated 26 years of his life towards serving the city of Elizabeth, NJ. After retiring from the police department, George sought out the quiet life in the most fitting place imaginable: Honesdale, PA, aka “the birthplace of the American Railroad.” George was an avid railroader.He is survived by his sons George Brian (Tristyn) and Geoffrey Robert (Andrea) Hohman, as well as 1 grandson. George is also survived by aunt Marie Gagnon, Califon, NJ, many cousins and his friend, Lynne Borovicka, Honesdale, Pa.
Visitation will take place at the Las Rosas- Bannworth FH, in Elizabeth, NJ on Friday April 16th, 2021 from 12pm-1pm. Graveside Services will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, NJ. www.lrbfh.com
