Maria Cotto

Maria Esther (Aponte) Cotto beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Maria passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the age of 84. Maria was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on November 24, 1936.  In the late 1960’s, she and the family moved to New York for a better life.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and going to church.  Maria was also a Pentocostal Pastor and she enjoyed doing missionary work. Maria is survived by her sons, Miguel Angel Cotto, Juanito Cotto, Edwin Cotto, Luis (Kike) Cotto; her Daughter-in-Laws, Sandra Cotto and Denise Walker Cotto in addition to many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm in addition to a funeral service on Saturday morning at 9:30 am, July 3, 2021 at Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 East Jersey Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey.  Interment to follow beginning at 11 am at Rosehill Cemetery, 792 East Edgar Road, Linden, New Jersey.
