Martha Lee Beaton was born to Idolly Bonilla and Ponciano Bonilla on Dec 13, 1949, in La Lima, Honduras. She was the youngest of Idolly’s eight children. In 1964 she, along with her parents migrated to the United States. Brooklyn, New York is where the family settled while Martha obtained her education in the NYC school system. She graduated from Prospect Heights High School in 1969. Following her graduation, she joined and served in the United States Army.

Sometime following her discharge from the army, she gave birth to her 1st born Tamika whom she affectionately called Mika Bell. A few years later she completed her family by giving birth to her son Orlando. In her adult life, she secured employment at the New Jersey Postal Service where she worked until her retirement.

While working for USPS, Martha was blessed with her 3 grandchildren whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with. When her mother returned home to Honduras, Martha traveled with her 2 older sisters to visit at various times. She also enjoyed spending time with family at holiday functions and vacations.

Martha is survived by her daughter Tamika, son Orlando, daughter in-law Xavy, grandson Victor, granddaughters Janae and Chloe,  Uncle Claude (Papi), siblings Augustin, Rudolph, Anna, and Adan, sisters in-law Ermelinda, Verna, Olga, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and dear friends.
