Melvin Smith

Melvin Smith, 56, of Elizabeth passed away on October 12, 2024. He was the devoted brother of Nelson Smith, Tony Smith, and Annie Smith. Loving grandfather of Kya Hunter. He is predeceased by his parents MC Smith and Fannie Smith and siblings Mark and Linda Smith.  He is survived by his siblings Annie Smith, Tony Smith and Nelson Smith (Linda). Melvin is survived by a host of nieces and nephews including his loving niece, Rene Smith. Melvin was a people's person, he left wonderful memories with an abundance of family and friends, always with a smile on his face and a warm heart to have a conversation with. Melvin was an entrepreneur at heart, always fixing cars and scrapping for metal.

Professional arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 3-5pm.
