Richard P. Weiss

Richard Paul Weiss(Richie) passed away in Trinitas Hospital on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at the age of 65.
Richie is predeceased by his father; Richard Alfred Weiss and his mother Mary Marie Weiss (nee Grielich).
He is survived by his loving wife of almost fifteen years, Karen Weiss (nee Johnson) of Elizabeth, New Jersey. He is also survived by his sister; Cindy Barnes of Whiting, New Jersey and his brother; Robert Weiss of Jackson, Mississippi.
He is lovingly remembered by his two brother-in-laws; Arthur Barnes and Alfred Johnson, Jr., two sister-in-laws Sheila Johnson and Lisa Johnson, four nieces; Christine Sztabaluk, Karyn Davey, Madilyn Panzardi and Megan Adams and three nephews; Maurice Johnson, Andrew Parker, Arthur Barnes Jr., and many other beloved family members.
Richie was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on May 14, 1955. He graduated from Piscataway High School in 1973 and went on to earn a certificate from the Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked at Jewish Community Housing Corporation in West Orange, NJ, where he retired in 2018.
Richie liked traveling, fishing and going to amusement parks with his wife Karen. He also enjoyed spending time with his brother-in-law Art and his best friend Couki.
A small Private service will be held at Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home in Elizabeth, NJ for Family Only.
